New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on December 22, 2022) follows:

The latest in line, Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max boasts an impressive 6.7-inch display, the intriguing Dynamic Island, and more.

However, it is quite common for smartphones to face various issues related to display. For instance, the iOS 16 update once triggered a flickering issue for some iPhone users.

We even highlighted an almost similar issue with iPhone 13 as well followed by a ‘rainbow screen of death’.

iPhone 14 Pro Max screen flickering issue

Some iPhone 14 Pro Max owners (1,2,3,4,5,6) are now experiencing issues related to screen-flickering or seeing horizontal lines after waking up their devices.

It seems that even those with brand-new phones are struggling with this issue. The multiple horizontal lines just pop up randomly when the screen turns itself off or after some inactivity.

One of the affected users speculates that the issue is owing to a defective batch of LG screens. So, when Apple introduced those faulty screens to iPhone 14 Pro Max devices, the flickering issue surfaced.

This is quite worrisome for those affected and has also prompted them to call in for a replacement.

Well, apart from asking affected users to submit their feedback, Apple hasn’t officially acknowledged the issue yet.

We hope that the team addresses the screen flickering issue at the earliest and comes up with a permanent fix.

Unfortunately, there’s no workaround that can help resolve the issue temporarily. So, users will have to wait indefinitely for a resolution.

We’ll keep tabs on further developments and update the article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
