Samsung has recently released a new ad on its Weibo account. In the ad, Samsung is mocking Apple for not having a folding phone.

The ad has been receiving backlash from viewers. As some have made it a Korea vs USA thing. People are constantly criticising Samsung for this ad. People are attacking Samsung in this ad by highlighting the setbacks of their folding phones and with comments like “If Apple would have done it, it would have been perfect”.

In the released ad, the Galaxy Flip phones appear as fans in a soccer stadium inspired by the 2022 World Cup. While the Galaxy Flip phones cheer and flip in the stands, a few smartphones that resemble iPhones remain in the audience, standing still with sad emojis displayed on their displays as they look around at the sea of Galaxy Flip phones.

The text at the end of the commercial reads, “it’s time to fold together”.

It is not the first time that Samsung has mocked Apple for not having flippable phones. Samsung in their previous commercial made fun of how Apple users are always waiting for new features, “because that’s what we do. We wait,” the ad mocks a fake Apple employee as saying.

Apple is yet to respond to Samsung on this matter. But Apple fans have taken this personally and have raised their guard in supporting their favorite brand.
