Rising actor Jacob Lofland has landed a vital role in Joker: Folie à Deux, the remake to Todd Phillips’ Oscar-winning and trillion dollars film Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix. This growing actor will soon be seen in a key Arkham asylum role.

Phoenix and Phillips are back in their respective roles for the new project, which is centred on the infamous Batman villain, and are joined on the call sheet by Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener.

Lady Gaga will be co-starring as Harley Quinn, while Zazie Beetz will also return to the cast as Sophie Dumond as per the reports.

Well, in 2019, “Joker” was one of the most successful comic book movies that ever came to the way and on the awards circuit as well. After winning the Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival, “Joke” was the first ever R-rated movie to ever reach the $1 billion worldwide amount and win the first Oscar.

Talking about Joker: Folie à Deux, the production has yet not started and this will translate to “shared madness,” which could be a reference to how the Joker exploited Gotham City’s simmering rage over widening inequality.
