With No Time to Die releasing last October to critical acclaim and strong box office, audiences have taken the intermittent period between that film and the next 007 film to speculate on who could play the next James Bond. Furthermore, the film had ramifications in Hollywood, as Ana de Armas’s fan-favorite Bond girl, Paloma, who appeared briefly in No Time to Die but quickly earned the hearts of fans, likely inspired the John Wick team to cast her in a John Wick spinoff titled Ballerina.

Per Variety, the James Bond-themed reality show, 007’s Road to a Million, will be a similar competition show to The Amazing Race, as it tasks its contestants (who compete in duos) to race each other through various locations on the globe. The James Bond series will consist of eight episodes, which are slated to begin production later this year. Casting is currently underway, and Bond fans are currently able to submit their applications.

007’s Road to a Million may not be the television series James Bond fans may have hoped for, but with The Amazing Race lasting for thirty-three seasons and counting, it’s clear that there’s a lot of creative room to explore within the globetrotting game show subgenre. Because James Bond films already travel the globe in each of its films, there’s no denying that this game show concept fits the franchise perfectly, however outside the box it may seem.
