The American TV series, Chicago P.D., a police procedural action drama, is about to see the departure of one of its original star, Jesse Lee Soffer. Jesse’s tenure will reportedly end after the Season 10 of the series. He plays the character of Detective Jay in the series.
Variety tweeted today about Jesse Lee’s departure. The tweet stated that Jesse Lee Soffer is turning in his badge on #ChicagoPD and the upcoming Season 10 will be his last. Along with that the tweet mentioned that he will depart sometime in the fall.
Jesse Lee retweeted this tweet and passed on his gratitude to the fans. He expressed that the audience is the reason why they do what they do. Lastly, he mentioned that it was an honor and that he loves them all.
However, one has to check out the upcoming season to know in which episode or how he is going to walk out. Reports aren’t aware of this as of now.
The actor also expressed that creating this hour drama week after week was a labour of love by everyone who touched the show. He stated that he will always be proud of his time as Det. Jay Halstead.
The upcoming season 10 of the series is scheduled to premiere on September 21, 2022.
