On Wednesday, Johnny Depp stood in the witness box again during the trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Depp’s Verdict
He contended a claim made by Amber Heard that he (Depp) had nothing to do with getting a role in her superhero movie ‘Aquaman’.
She denied that he helped her in getting the role.
However, Depp claimed that he talked to the studio on her behalf.
‘Ultimately she did get the job, so hopefully, I suppose, I had curbed their worries to some degree,’ he added.
He also denied a statement made by the former lawyer, Adam Waldman, calling Heard’s claims of abuse a hoax.
However, he also stated his opinion about how he felt while he listened to Heard’s testimony during the trial.
‘It’s insane to hear heinous accusations of violence, sexual violence … that she’s accusing me of. (It’s) horrible, ridiculous, humiliating, ludicrous, painful, savage, unimaginably brutal, cruel,’ said Depp.
After saying all this, he still denied all allegations.
‘I have never in my life committed sexual battery, physical abuse, all these outlandish, outrageous stories of me committing these things,” he said. “And living with it for six years, and waiting to be able to bring the truth out.
‘No matter what happens I did get here and I did tell the truth and I have spoken up for what I’ve been carrying on my back, reluctantly, for six years’, Depp added.
The lawyer walked Depp through some graphic text that he sent to his friends, including his agent Christian Carino after he was cross-checked by Heard’s attorney J. Benjamin Rottenborn.
The message read, ‘… I’m so (expletive) happy she wants to go fight this out. She will hit the wall hard … I can only hope karma kicks in and takes the gift of breath from her,’ Heard cried while the text was read.
Kate Moss showed up in trial on Wednesday
Depp’s ex-girlfriend Kate Moss virtually joined the court in a hearing on Wednesday.
Heard’s testimony stated that Depp pushed his ex-girlfriend from the stairs when they both were in a relationship.
The model dated Johnny Depp in the 90s but she immediately refused the allegations by Amber.
‘He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs.’ the Model added.
After her statement, Depp’s legal team appeared to celebrate.
Amber Heard was sued by Depp as she expressed herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse” and asked her for $5 million for damages.
The trial is been ongoing since last month and is expected to be concluded on May 27.
