The demise of great Kannada actor left his family, friends and fans heartbroken. Among them, Jr NTR who was seen broken and full of sorrow.
Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar was hospitalised after suffering chest pain. He admitted to Vikram hospital in Bengaluru in a non-responsive state and passed away the same day due to cardiac arrest. His death, at a young age of 46 filled everyone with shock and despair.
For his funeral, Telugu actors Nandamuri Balakrishna, Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Srikanth, Ali, and many others flew all the way from Hyderabad to pay their last respects to Puneeth at Bengaluru’s Kanteerava Stadium. “RRR” actor Jr NTR, who was a close friend of Puneeth, broke down and was inconsolable on the occasion.
Both Puneeth Rajkumar and Jr NTR had a very busy schedule but still made time for their friendship and spend some quality time together which led to the development of a special bond between them. They were very close which is the reason why Jr NTR was unable to handle his sorrow of his friend’s death.
Balakrishna and choreographer and director Prabhu Deva also appeared devastated, as they paid their final respects. Balakrishna treated Puneeth as his own brother and went to several public meetings together.
Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar was laid to rest after final rites were conducted at Kanteerava Studios in the presence of his family members, friends and ruling and opposition leaders of all political parties in Bengaluru. The final rites were conducted as per the traditions of Ediga community of the Hindu religion.
