Kangana Ranaut poked fun at Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Instagram on Monday. “Karma strikes again,” Kangana said in a post on the ongoing protests in Ottawa, Canada. Kangana’s declaration follows Justin’s support for India’s farmers’ protests in 2020.
“Canadian PM Trudeau was inciting Indian protesters, today in the midst of protests in his nation, he is hiding at a secret location as demonstrators threaten his security,” Kangana wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Hmm… the law of Karma strikes once more.”
Justin had spoken out in support of farmers’ demonstrations in India in 2020. “I would be negligent if I did not begin by acknowledging the news coming from India about the farmer protest,” he remarked. The situation is alarming. We’re all concerned about relatives and friends. We understand that this is a reality for many of you. Let me remind you that Canada will always stand up for the rights of peaceful demonstrators. We believe in the discussion process. We’ve reached out to Indian officials via a variety of channels to express our concerns. This is a time when we must all work together.”
On social media, a number of people have shared videos and photographs from the protest site in Ottawa. “CANADA – The World’s Longest Convoy,” one individual captioned a video. Truckers travel with supporters cheering them on from bridges, providing food, beverages, and purchasing gasoline. Trudeau has a major problem here. #COVID19 #TruckersForFreedom.”
