Trending suggestions or searches is one of the features of the Google app. This feature is meant to show suggestions based on your search results and what others in your locale are searching for.
However, majority of times, Trending suggestions show irrelevant results and that is pretty annoying. In fact, with the latest update of the Google app, even after toggling off the trending search option, it is still not getting disabled.
Users of Google app on iOS took to Google support forums and have reported that they cannot get ‘now trending’ option off. Reportedly, app version 91.0 on iOS version 13.3.1 has been surfaced with this issue.
