Today is filmmaker Karan Johar’s 50th birthday! The renowned director-producer has had another great year around the sun and will be celebrating his 50th birthday with a big party. The top names in Bollywood rushed to social media to show their support for Karan Johar. Karan was overwhelmed with wishes on social media from the youthful generation of Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor to Vicky Kaushal and his best buddy Malaika Arora.
This year, Karan will celebrate his birthday at YRF. His star-studded bash has a black and glitter theme. All of the directors associated with Dharma Productions will be in attendance. KJo also has invited Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan from Bollywood to his birthday bash. Aside from them, power couples Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, as well as Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, are expected to make an appearance.
The director-producer also informed that he is going to announce his upcoming film updates on his birthday.
“I would like to announce my next directorial feature…Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will release on the 10th of February 2023 and I will commence the shooting of my Action Film in April 2023,” a portion of Karan Johar’s statement reads.
While the announcement has piqued fans’ attention, it will be great to see who will play the leading roles in the film. While some fans speculated whether Sidharth Malhotra would be cast as the lead, others speculated that the film would be a collab between Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan.
In the meantime, Karan Johar is hard at work on his next film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi play key roles in the film. Aside from that, he’s getting ready for a new season of Koffee With Karan.
