League of Legends Gameplay Designer RiotPhlox has revealed which champions will be targeted in the upcoming patch 11.24b. The new patch will feature another set of Preseason adjustments.

Preseason has brought many sizable changes to League of Legends, including two new dragons and numerous items. Last year’s Preseason brought the controversial Item Overhaul and it seems as though Riot Games is not finished with its item adjustments.

Unlike most regular patches, 11.24 will bring multiple system changes:

  • Gwen - Baset HP will go up from 550 to 590 Olaf - Passive max. attack speed will get increased from 75 to 100% Kai’sa - Passive on-hit damage will go up from 4-10 to 4-16; Q damage ratio will go up from 40% to 50% of bonus AD; W evolved refund will go up from 70 to 77% Varus - Passive attack speed duration will go up from 5 to 5-11 seconds scaling; W on-hit damage will go up from 7-11 (+25% AP) to 7-15 (+30% AP) Pyke - Q damage will go up from 85-285 to 100-300

Kai’sa currently holds one of the lowest win rates for the AD carry position with 48% which is unusual considering that she has almost always been a reliable pick. A sizeable buff like this could surely bring her back into the bot lane meta and she could be paired with the recently reworked Janna. The following League of Legends champions will receive a nerf in the next patch:

  • Dr. Mundom - Health regen will go down from 8 to 6.5 HP per second; Q minimal damage will will go down from 80-300 to 80-280 Kassadin - Passive magic damage reduction will go down from 15 to 10%; W bonus damage will go down from 70-170 to 50+150 Lux - Q cooldown will go up from 11-9 scaling to 11 seconds flat; Q base damage will go down from 80-260 to 80-240 Vayne - R bonus attack damage will be lowered from 35-65 to 25-55 Talon (Jungle) - W damage to monsters will go down from 150 to 130%

Vayne and Talon have been highly contested picks in this year’s Preseason, so these nerfs don’t come as a big surprise. Both of these champions have a very high skill ceiling meaning that mastering them would definitely increase players’ chances to climb ranks, especially with changes to League of Legends’ ranking system.

The nerf to Kassadin’s damage potential will definitely impact his ability to one-shot squishy enemy champions which is usually one of his core strengths that made him one of the worst champions to play against. Players who wanted to pick up this assassin in the mid lane should probably wait for a couple of patches as there currently are similar champions that do the same job more efficiently.

League of Legends is available to play for free on PC.
