In League of Legends: Wild Rift, Jinx is a Marksman that is equipped with multiple weapons that increases her versatility in combat. From Gatling guns to rocket launchers, snare grenades to laser guns, LoL: Wild Rift players will be able to bombard enemies on their road to victory.

Proper positioning will be an extremely important factor when playing Jinx due to her immobility making her more susceptible to Assassins or other enemies looking to dive onto targets with high burst damage. However, if executed properly, Jinx can potentially reach the highest DPS out of all Marksman in team fights during the late game due to her AOE Critical Damage from her rockets!

Jinx’s Passive Ability

When Jinx scores a kill or assist on an enemy player or takes down an enemy structure, she gains a burst of Movement and Attack Speed, which can exceed the Attack Speed cap. This Passive is one of the things that makes Jinx as deadly as she is because it increases her damage output and survivability significantly. Being able to kite or chase enemies down while attacking much faster allows her to turn the tides of battle.

Jinx’s Q Ability

Jinx’s Q has two forms to it with different effects. The base form of Q (Gatling Gun) increases her Attack Speed with each consecutive auto-attack, stacking up to three times. The other form of Q (Rocket Launcher) increases her Attack Range and slightly slows her Attack Speed, in exchange for slightly higher damage with an AOE effect. Knowing which form to use and when is vital for success with Jinx.

Players are best off using the base form of Q when they’re fighting an isolated target or want to take down a single target swiftly. Whereas if it may be too dangerous to get closer to the enemy or there are multiple enemies close to one another, the other form of Q will find more success here.

Jinx’s W Ability

Jinx’s W Ability shoots a linear laser beam that does Physical Damage, slows the target, and can reveal them if they’re out of vision (in a bush or standing behind certain terrain). This skill is great for poking down enemies or scouting areas that enemies may be hiding in without endangering anyone on the player’s team.

It is also helpful to help chase down or kite enemies since they will be slowed down or can even be used to set up an easy-to-land Ultimate Ability since the enemy will be too slowed to dodge.

Jinx’s E Ability

Jinx’s E ability throws out three snare grenades in a linear path that Roots any targets that walk through them and deals Magic Damage to them. This skill is very useful for zone control, in certain areas of terrain or can be used to help kite enemies.

Near the Dragon or Baron pit, it can be used to cut off the entrances/exits to the enemy jungle, making it harder for them to contest players’ teammates when taking down Neutral Objectives. Enemies will have to decide between waiting for the grenades to disappear, taking a long way around, or getting snared and taking damage from Jinx and other allies.

Jinx’s Ultimate Ability

Jinx’s Ultimate Ability shoots out a large rocket in a linear path that has infinite range and does AOE Physical Damage. The longer the rocket travels before impact, the more damage it deals. This ability is great for executing fleeing targets or can just be used to severely damage enemies that are partially damaged in a team fight.

Players can surprise enemies in the early game by shooting across the map to finish off a low health recalling enemy, or it can even be used to potentially steal neutral objectives, due to the execute damage.

Jinx’s Tips and Tricks

  • Jinx can stack up bonus Attack Speed with her Gatling form of Q and still keep the bonus when switching over to the rocket form of Q, temporarily. Jinx’s E ability can split through thin pieces of terrain, putting some grenades on one side, while leaving the rest on the other side, potentially cutting off two pathways simultaneously. Jinx’s Ultimate can be aimed forward if trying to hit a target directly behind herself, due to the odd hitbox. Jinx’s Ultimate Ability can also have its animation canceled by using her W ability afterward, which will provide slightly more DPS and better positioning.

Jinx’s Best Build

  • Stormrazor Gluttonous Greaves Stasis Enchant Infinity Edge Rapidfire Cannon Mortal Reminder Guardian Angel Conqueror Keystone combined with Brutal, Adaptive Carapace, and Sweet Tooth runes.

This build provides Jinx with all her core stats, such as Attack Damage, Attack Speed, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and other important stats like Armor Penetration, Life Steal, Movement Speed, and Armor. Jinx’s Damage output will be pretty low early on, but once she gets two items, she will start to do a considerable amount of damage.

The Attack Damage scales well with her Q, W, and Ultimate Ability, while the Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and Attack Speed have amazing synergy with her Passive Ability and Q Gatling form. The more items she has, the stronger she’ll become and once her full build is completed, she can take down an entire team single-handedly if protected well enough.
