Life is Strange: True Colors gives players a mystery to solve but also lets them explore the beautiful Colorado mountain town of Haven Springs. As well as Zen Spots to chill in, there are bonus character interactions that fit right in with the “slice of life” themes running through the Deck Nine developed title.
One of these missable stories tasks Alex with finding a missing Golden Retriever. She received a Myblock notification about it in Chapter 1, but can’t actually reunite the dog with her owner until Chapter 2. Once Players leave the Black Lantern Tavern after helping Steph in Chapter 2, they can start searching. Finding the lost dog’s location will unlock the “Found Dog!” Trophy/Achievement.
Where to Find the Missing Dog in Life is Strange: True Colors
Players don’t actually need to find the Golden Retriever themselves in Life is Strange: True Colors, they just need to suss out its location. They can do this while completing the optional task of talking to Steph at the record store. The store is located just past the group of three miners talking on a bench, opposite the Silver Dragon dispensary.
Once inside, players will notice a man in a hoodie perusing the records. Use Alex’s powers in Life is Strange: True Colors to hear that he is upset over a girl leaving him. Turn right to the bulletin board on the wall, left of the record player. Alex will read a “Found dog” poster attached to it and ponder whether it would be wrong to steal the cute dog for herself.
Once the poster has been read, head back to the guy in the hoodie and talk with him. It turns out that the Golden Retriever is the girl that has left him, and he’s very happy that Alex has given him the number to get her back. Players can stick around for a bit to hear his conversation on the phone. After talking with him, the “Found Dog!” Trophy/Achievement will pop. For more Trophies/Achievements, be on the lookout for collectible Memory locations.
After finding the dog, players can progress in the story by helping Eleanor in Life is Strange: True Colors at the flower shop. There is also another missable achievement in the area involving a birdwatcher, and lots more additional dialogue to be overheard from Haven Springs’ residents and tourists.
Life is Strange: True Colors is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and will release later for Switch.
