Long-time fans have been used to there being many options for purchasing all kinds of physical Pokemon merchandise. It’s not hard to find a Pikachu plushie or a Charizard t-shirt, but at the same time, it can be challenging to find a vendor that sells high-quality Pokemon items, such as Poke Balls for example.
A website called Zavvi is known for selling merchandise based around pop culture, video games, music, and movies and television. The site is currently selling a Great Ball replica that’s created by the Wand Company that is actually the first officially licensed premium collectable for fans of the Pokemon franchise.
The Pokemon Limited Edition Die-Cast Great Ball Replica currently has a release date of June 30, 2021, on the Zavvi website, and costs $99.99 USD. According to the item description on the site, the Great Ball Replica is “highly accurate” and is made with “an engineered metal shell.” The surface of the Great Ball will react to touch and it also has a proximity sensor. Of course, being so high quality, the replica is not meant to be thrown across a room, and is meant to stay safe on a shelf or a desk for display purposes.
The Great Ball Replica will also come with a sleek presentation case that has a numbered hologram unique to that specific Great Ball. And for the die-hard Pokemon fans out there, the replica will also come included with a “Pokemon Charmander Evolution Unisex T-Shirt in White.” Official Pokemon T-shirts like this would typically cost a pretty penny or two, so this seems like a decent deal for collectors.
