MacBook Pro build-in camera (iSight) has not been working properly. At first, the camera works normally then after a while it stops but the green light stays on. When users try to open Photobooth or other apps it says “camera not connected“, “No iSight Camera Detected“, “There is no camera connected“. Don’t worry. Here is the article I will tell you some easy methods to fix this issue. Let get started.
Solution 1: Use Terminal
Open Terminal and type the following command.

sudo killall VDCAssistant
This command will restart the camera software. It will fix 90% of camera problems. Now Reopen Skype-like apps to check the camera.
Solution 2: Check your Screen Time settings
- Select the Apple menu and tap on the System Preferences.
- Now choose Screen Time and tap on the Content & Privacy on the sidebar.
- Then select the Apps option and make sure the camera check box is selected.
- Next, click App limit in the sidebar.
- If your want to use the camera on the particular app then don’t select the Checkbox for Limit.
Solution 3: Update your Mac
Make sure your Software is Up to date. If it is not, then kindly update the latest version of the Software on your Mac. To do that,
- Select the System Preferences in the Apple menu.
- Then select the Software Update option.
- If any update is available tap the Install button.
- Once your Update is completed then check whether your camera is work or not.
