Apple had announced its latest macOS Big Sur 11.3 update yesterday. The update is the third iteration of the Big Sur operating system and is now available for download on all compatible macOS machines.
The previous update – macOS Big Sur 11.2 – was ‘smaller’ in comparison and only brought about a few bug fixes. These included Bluetooth connectivity enhancements and fixes for the longstanding Mac mini display issues.
This time around though, Apple has not only fixed plenty of existing issues but has also added several new features, starting with support for the company’s all-new tracking accessory – AirTag.
Additionally, there’s a new option to change an iPhone and iPad app’s window size, new emoji variations, Siri and Apple Music enhancements, redesigned News+ feed, and much more.
Last but not the least, macOS Big Sur 11.3 update also adds Xbox Series X/S and Sony PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller support. We previously highlighted how tvOS 14.5 did the same, and it’s great to now see Big Sur follow.
But no update is complete without bug fixes, and thankfully, the latest macOS update got this part covered as well. The release fixes issues with Siri reminders, AirPods, iCloud Keychain, and more.
The complete bug-fixes log has been given below:
As you can see from above, there is yet another fix for another Mac display-related problem. In the past, we highlighted a bunch of such issues including Mac mini display issues, broken support for external 4K monitors, and display flickering.
Yep, the pace of Apple’s display bug-busting may be slow, but at least they’re more than willing to address issues.
If you haven’t already got a notification for the macOS Big Sur 11.3 update, then you can check manually via Settings > Software Update. Hope you have a wonderful experience!
