Magic: The Gathering has a very intense competitive tabletop scene and the same can be said for the collectible card game’s digital counterpart Magic Arena. Fans of the digital game have the chance each month to grind the Limited and Constructed ladders from Bronze all the way up to Mythic for bragging rights and exciting rewards.
The game’s reward system pays out prizes around the first of each month based on how far players managed to climb each of the two separate ladders. Magic Arena Ranked Season prizes usually include a mix of packs from the most current Magic: The Gathering Standard legal set, in-game gold currency, and cosmetic card styles. Only players who reach the highest ranks end up earning a mix of all of those rewards.
The February season has just over a day left on the clock as players continue grinding Kamigawa events, so players who are on the edge of a rank may want to focus on ways to finish the grind and cross that line into the next tier of rewards. The new season will kick off in the afternoon tomorrow (February 28) and offer players a fresh chance to start the climb again and see how close they can come to Mythic #1.

When selecting tournaments and game modes, players who want to climb the ladders should take careful note of whether their selection is marked as “Ranked.” Climbing the ladders will require focusing most of the game time in those types of events or matches.
Players can also queue up for casual or ranked Constructed play at any time. Those matches are free and are the primary way lots of players attempt to climb the ranked Constructed ladder all the way up to the Mythic Tier. Reaching that level of play requires a ton of practice, play, and grinding; but is a great way to try and qualify for special tournament invites and prizes in the competitive card game.
Magic Arena is available now for PC and mobile devices.
