CM Basavaraj S Bommai expressed his condolences on the passing of Karnataka’s “most loved superstar” and declared that the actor’s funeral would be accorded State honors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to express his condolences for the Kannada film star’s untimely death. “A horrible twist of fate has taken Puneeth Rajkumar, a prolific and talented actor, from us. This was not the time to leave. His works and beautiful personality will be remembered warmly by future generations. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. “Om Shanti,” the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.
The tragic death of Puneeth Rajkumar has shocked the country, with tributes flooding in from all corners.
