Maruti EV expected to be launched in 2025 will take over the upcoming EVs from Tata Motors and Mahindra.
Maruti Suzuki is finally gearing up to focus on the EV segment. India’s largest carmaker Maruti will reveal its first all-electric model YY8, at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo. As per the information, it will be the company’s hero concept for 2023, on the lines of Future-S in 2018 and Futuro-e in 2020. It will be manufactured in Maruti’s production unit in Gujarat.
This new EV will cater to both international as well as domestic markets. This new EV is being developed in collaboration with Toyota.
Maruti YY8 will be equipped with a variety of specs in the electric SUV range with a focus on spacious interiors.
This new Maruti e-SUV will rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV400, etc. At the 2023 Auto Expo, Maruti will also showcase other products as well. Such as YTB SUV (Baleno-based coupe SUV cross) and the 5-door Jimny.
