Four weeks in, there are already several fan theories on how Disney Plus’ Loki is going to play out. Last week’s episode dropped a bombshell in the form of four new Loki Variants who are seemingly surviving in a post-apocalyptic scenario, where the main God of Mischief finds himself after being pruned by Judge Ravonna Renslayer. A new teaser released by Marvel Studios to promote the fifth episode might just have revealed several other Variants in the same world.

The 15-second teaser highlights how critics believe the series to be “one of the most ambitious, craziest stories Marvel Studios has ever told.” Fans of the show will also agree, as it has churned out several trending topics on social media since its premiere. Ever since Sylvie was introduced in Loki, fans have been theorizing over the existence of other Variants, and the latest teaser could have just proven them right.

When Loki first premiered on Disney Plus, it was established that pruning essentially means death for the Variant. The first episode sees a random Variant refusing to take a ticket when being instructed to do so by the Time Variance Authority, and in turn, he is pruned for not following orders. Fan-favorite Agent Mobius M. Mobius was also seen being pruned in episode 4, “The Nexus Event,” minutes before Loki himself faces the glowing baton. But, the post-credits scene of the same episode showed the God of Mischief seemingly having survived, but transported to a different world.

Many of the Variants are seen sporting some kind of horned helmet, one of which is clearly made from a bike’s handlebars. Hiddleston is spotted with a helmet reminiscent of the one he wore in 2011’s Thor, although this helmet is much smaller. One of the Variants is a female character, which could mean that another female version of the trickster will be entering the picture in the coming episodes.

Of course, as with all things, only time will tell if these are all variants of the titular trickster. With only two episodes left until the series wraps, it won’t be long before fans’ questions are answered.

Loki is now streaming on Disney Plus.
