Developed by Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, Marvel’s Avengers is an action role-playing video game. Based on the Marvel Comics Superhero team Avengers, it follows the story of Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel).
The third-person shooter features both campaign and multiplayer gameplay. While the initial roster features Steve Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Ms. Marvel, and Black Widow. Square Enix said they will add more characters for free in updates.
However, due to these frequent updates and with new content added to the game, gamers sometimes experience technical issues with the game. That being said, Marvel’s Avengers players are now reporting that their units and resources have suddenly disappeared after the recent update.
With players saying that they lost up to 80% percent of resources, they were angry since it takes quite a while to gather up resources in a game that generates revenue using microtransactions.
Some said they were able to fix the issue by loading an older save, but it seems many have already overwritten their existing saves games.
Thankfully, a game designer who works at Crystal Dynamics has commented on the matter and said that issues like these are pretty complex and need time before they can be fixed.
Unfortunately, all Marvel’s Avengers players who lost their resources and units after the recent update may have to wait for quite a while before they even get compensated.
We hope the developers find out the reason behind the disappearance of Marvel’s Avengers units and resources and deploy a patch that fixes the same. As always, when they do, we will be updating this space so make sure you stay tuned.
