The U in the MediaTek Dimensity 800U stands for Ultra Connected – provides dual 5G SIM capabilities to future-ready smartphones with access to the highest quality voice calling services with VoNR from either connection. The Dimensity 800U provides 5G-CA (2CC 5G Carrier Aggregation) and Dual 5G SIM; technologies offered beyond competitor solutions.5G-CA enables higher average speeds and a seamless handover between two 5G connection areas across a coverage layer, where users receive over 30% greater throughput layer coverage than without CA.
The chipset features two Arm Cortex-A76 ‘Big’ cores operating up to a speedy 2.4GHz in its octa-core CPU paired with Arm Mali G57-class GPU, extreme clocked LPDDR4X memory up to 2,133MHz and next-gen UFS 2.2-class storage. This has support for 120Hz displays offering smoother scrolling of web pages, the fastest response in games with zero-blur and animations in apps. According to the company, Dimensity 800U can also allow equipping larger camera sensors with up to 64 megapixels. It is capable of embracing up to four cameras in its smartphone designs therefore delivering more depth to the images for accurate bokeh in real-time previews and pictures, anti-distortion-warping, noise reduction and facial detection. In addition to this, it can also allow providing customized software and AI-camera enhancements.
