The association between Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Meek Mill is ending. After ten years of working together, Hov’s firm is no longer handling Meek’s career.
Meek first met with Roc Nation management in 2012, and the two received multiple awards and honors while working on music industry deals.
Shortly after the rapper aggressively complained about his label status with Atlantic Records, the shocking breakup came.
In February, Meek slammed Atlantic on Twitter for allegedly screwing up the release of his previous album, “Expensive Pain,” and it seems like things have been getting worse ever since.
He was given the title of co-head for the social justice non-profit, Reform Alliance, and was given access to a lot of influential people owing to the Roc unit, which also played a key role in his release from prison in 2018.
The announcement of Meek leaving RN was initially made by Billboard.
In order to find out why relations between the two parties worsened, reporters are speaking with sources on both sides.
