Marvel Studios’ upcoming superhero film Eternals has got a new featurette that reveals a deeper look at the characters who will be starring in the ensemble film. Eternals is taking relatively unknown characters and making them popular.

The Eternals exist in the same world as Marvel’s Avengers, but these heroes were in hiding until the Deviants came. Eternals were created by the Celestials, who also made the Deviants and human race. This film will open a deeper look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and its origins.

The new featurette offers a quick summary of each Eternals character and what powers they bring to the table. First off is Sersi, who has the power to manipulate matter, then there’s Ikaris, who has flight/laser vision, Phastos, who can assemble/disassemble anything and everything from any technology. Fans also learned that Thena can manifest any weapon of war, Gilgamesh has superstrength, Makkari has super speed, Sprite has the power of illusion, Kingo has energy manipulation, Druig has mind control abilities, and Ajak, who serves as sort of a leader, has the ability to heal. New footage from the film also appears to be included in the featurette, which shows off the visual style that early reviews have been praising.

This vast cast of characters looks to be interesting, to say the least. Eternals is definitely one of Marvel’s most unique properties, and the film will have the task of balancing the characters’ wide range of abilities. It must also manage a large cast in order to make each character memorable and purposeful in the realm of the Marvel universe.

The film has a star-studded cast that is set to bring in many prominent actors into the world of Marvel, which will hopefully help attract fans who might not be into superhero films, especially since this movie doesn’t have any prominent or recognizable heroes in it. Eternals pre-release ticket sales are looking very good as of now, so the film will hopefully do well at the box office.

Eternals will debut this November following the release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Black Widow while preceding Spider-Man: No Way Home. Many are anticipating seeing how Eternals impacts the MCU and the many story things that are being set up in the background.

Eternals will be in theaters on November 5th, 2021.
